These amazing crispy honey garlic wings are a winner! You are going to love the crispy, sweet, garlicky taste.
I realized yesterday, while in the kitchen experimenting with these wings, that I really did not have a recipe in mind. I decided to search my kitchen staples and found these basic ingredients that came to life and created these wonderfully tasty, honey garlic wings.
For this recipe, the main star of the show was the Minced Garlic (Ajo Picado) from La Criolla, Inc. Let’s get cooking! Make sure you have a good pair of food prep gloves and let’s head to the kitchen to make these delicious party wings!
INGREDIENTS:
(Please note, I barely measured the seasonings, I just went with the flow).
- 1 pound of chicken wings
- ½ cup of honey
- Garlic paste (add the amount your heart desires)
- Minced Garlic (Ajo Picado) from La Criolla
- ¼ cup of Chili garlic sauce
- Black pepper
- Himalayan pink salt (any salt will do)
- Dried oregano
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Dab the wings with a paper towel until the skin is completely dry (this will help the wings come out nice and CRISPY). The trick to making the wings crunchy is to dry out the skin, I prefer to clean, pat dry and place them in the refrigerator for at least eight hours before cooking or overnight.
- Grab a pair of food prep gloves and get ready to toss!
- In a large bowl, add the dry wings and coat with honey, garlic paste, minced garlic, chili garlic sauce, black pepper, salt and oregano.
- Toss all of the ingredients together for about one minute and make sure that each wing is generously coated with all of the ingredients.
- Grab a pan and line with parchment paper and then place your wings on the pan and be sure to leave a little space between each wing (this will help them cook evenly and get crispy).
- Bake for 30 minutes and then turn the wings and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
- Allow to cool for 15 minutes and enjoy!
